Farmland — Starter Zone Guide
Farmland is the open agricultural zone where many survivors first spawn in The Walking Dead Online 3 V3 Beta — rolling fields, barns, and roadside loot containers between the wilderness and Woodbury suburbs. July 2026 map tours from AllStarTower and ItzVexo confirm Farmland as a labeled POI on the M-key map, essential for orienting new players before they push into contested towns.
Why Farmland Matters
Farmland is the lowest-risk loot zone on the map — ideal for learning headshot combat on scattered walkers without city PvP pressure. Basic food, melee tools, and crafting materials spawn in barns and field edges. Every player should pass through Farmland during the first hour before committing to Woodbury house-to-house looting.
Finding Farmland on the Map
Press M and locate the Farmland label — typically southwest of Woodbury on the V3 map. Community footage from July 2026 shows it listed alongside King County, Woodbury, Hilltop, Prison, Alexandria, and Sanctuary as core navigation landmarks.
Starter Loot in Farmland
- Food items — Farm stores and barn caches for hunger management.
- Melee weapons — Farm tools and basic blades for silent walker kills.
- Crafting mats — Rags and scraps for first bandages.
- Vehicle spawns — Occasional sedans on dirt roads; check interiors for keys.
Farmland has the lowest PvP density on the map. Use it to practice inventory management (20 base slots + backpack) before entering Woodbury or King County.
When to Leave Farmland
Move to Woodbury once you have a melee weapon, basic food, and understand TAB inventory. Next progression: Woodbury → Prison → Police Department. Track updates on our update log — spawn tables shift during Early Access.
